With the motto of "let light be there" University of California Los Angeles was founded in 1919. It is a public research university located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los angles California. It became the University of California Southern Branch in 1927, which it lead to makes the second oldest undergraduate campus of the ten campus system after original University of California campus at Berkeley.
For nearly 100 years, it has been a pioneer, and preserving through impossibility and turning the futile into the attainable. It is their pride that it has received and awarded in following;

112 NCCA title
250 Olympic medals
12 MacArthur fellows
3 Pulitzer prize winner.
With more than 5,000 courses in 109 academic departments, it offers 125 majors, and 70 percent of undergraduate classes have 30 or fewer students, maximizing personal engagement with internationally renowned faculty. Its faculty includes Nobel Prize winners along with Fulbright scholars and a fields Medal recipient. Classes are stimulating and coursework is challenging.
