California Institute of Technology (Caltech)

  California Institute of technology was founded as Throop University in 1891 in Pasadena, CA, and renamed the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 1920.It is education institution highly focused in science and engineering research. It is home to approximately 2,300 students and 300 faculties. It has boasts 31 Nobel laureates among its past and current faculty and alumni.  It has awarded National Medal of Science recipients58, National Medal of Technology recipients 13 and additionally, it has Memberships in the National Academies 111. It manages the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for NASA. Additionally, it owns and operates a global network of astronomical observatories and research facilities. It has ranked in the 1st position marking it as world top universities (2014-15).

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS


NYU warmly welcomes applications for admission from all over the world. International students is  defined by NYU as students who do not hold citizenship or permanent residency status in the United States, and comprise roughly 16% of the most recent entering class on our New York campus. Additionally however, there are important notes for international students to consider when applying for admission:
• Financial aid to international students New York campus is only available for incoming freshmen. In case, If offered admission, the international students will be required to submit a certification of finances demonstrating that they will be able to fund their four years of study through a combination of their own funds and any financial assistance we may provide. International Students should not submit a certification of finances or bank statements until after they are offered admission.
• All applicants regardless of citizenship should must apply online. International Students outside the U.S. who must send application documents (e.g. transcripts ,diplomas, etc.) in hardcopy form are strongly encouraged to do so well in advance of our stated application deadlines.
• NYU does not consider undergraduate admissions applications from students who already possess a bachelor's degree in any academic area, and with the exception of Nursing and all majors offered through the School of Engineering
• International students should required to submit TOEFL,  PTE or IELTS  and Academic results as proof of English language proficiency
